Where is your warehouse located?

Are you open on Saturday?

We will be open on Saturdays for Winter 2024 from 9am - 2pm.
Do I need an appointment to visit the warehouse?

There is no appointment needed during our open business hours!
What species of live edge slabs do you carry at your warehouse?
​
We carry a variety of up to 20 different Michigan wood species at any given time, including, but not limited to:
Ash, Basswood, Red Oak, White Oak, Maple, Hickory, Cherry, Black Walnut, Honey Locust, Black Locust, Catalpa, Siberian Elm, American Elm, Tree of Heaven, Sycamore, Mulberry, Beech and Dawn Redwood.

It is important to note that we only carry species that grow locally, as all of our logs are salvaged from the Metro-Detroit area. Our inventory is also always rotating, so we cannot guarantee every species listed above is always in stock, but these are the most common species we carry on a regular basis.
Do you sell reclaimed flooring or barnwood?

We sometimes have a small selection of barnwood and hand-hewn beams, but our speciality is live edge slabs milled directly from the log.
Do you remove trees?
​
Live Edge Detroit does not perform tree removal services. We recommend reaching out to our friends at Sav-A-Tree to request a quote.
Do you purchase trees, logs or lumber?
​
Live Edge Detroit does not purchase trees, logs or lumber.
Do you take log donations?
​
As much as we appreciate the generosity of the community, please note that Live Edge Detroit does not accept homeowner log donations. Our procurement team has established relationships with tree care professionals in and around Metro-Detroit that own the proper equipment to transport and handle felled logs. Removal and transport of trees from personal property is not something that we handle.
What is the ballpark size & price of your slabs?

This is one of our most common questions – and it comes with a lot of variables! We have thousands wood slabs in all different sizes, species and figuring in our warehouse. Because each piece is unique, we are unable to provide pricing over the phone or email. We ask that you please come to our warehouse to discuss your individual project and see slabs in-person to get a feel of what works best for your project.

We carry everything from small cut-offs starting at $5 to full-sized slabs that range from $100 - $4,000. Make sure to follow us on Instagram to stay in the loop on new slabs hitting the floor!
How can I shop your slabs?

To shop our live edge slabs and finished goods , please visit our warehouse in Troy during open hours.
If I purchase a slab, can you finish it for me?
​
Yes, finishing services are available with slab purchase.
Do you ship?

At this time we are not offering shipping on our products.
Do you offer log milling services?
​
Live Edge Detroit does not offer log milling services.
